Private consultations are arranged face-to-face Liverpool with Skype or phone consultations available for motivated clients who live further afield or who are unable to access my face-to-face services. These sessions are conducted in the comfort of your own home, office or any location where you feel comfortable.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN AN INITIAL CONSULTATION
We will discuss your current eating pattern, training program (if applicable), foods that you enjoy, your lifestyle, medical history, how you are feeling and explore barriers to achieving your goals. Together we will determine your priorities, develop some realistic goals and discuss steps to take to achieve these.
All initial consultations typically last for 1 hour where a detailed picture of your unique situation will be formulated. This will take into account your general health, family history, dietary habits, digestive function, occupation and any medical conditions you may have.
Following all initial consultations, you will receive explanations of dietary and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to any symptoms along with a personalised dietary programme designed to meet your requirements.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A FOLLOW UP CONSULTATION
The number of consultations necessary depending on your circumstances and goals, although it is advisable to be seen at least twice within 6 weeks of each appointment. For certain clients and health goals, more consistent follow-up help people stay on track, develop new skills and make sustainable lifestyle changes. Some clients will require fortnightly follow-up at the start of their journey, followed by monthly then six monthly, depending on their progress.
During follow-up consultations your nutritional progress will be assessed with adjustments made to account for progress and any additional nutrition concerns. These consultations are important, as there is no ‘quick fix’ or ‘one size fits all’ approach to eating for long-term health & well-being and athletic performance. Some people use these follow-up consultations just to touch base and help them stay on track.
